Redis Server Requires TCP - Need Sock
Hello,
We are running Nextcloud in our environment. This is of course the world's most used open-source MS / Google office drop-in replacement. Nextcloud allows using either sock or tcp. However, they are clear that sock will be much faster and it is their recommended configuration for redis.
There are many posts online indicating using redis sock is substantially faster than tcp. As a result, we have our redis server configured to use /var/run/redis.sock
However, burp-ui redis settings are coded to require tcp. So to use burp-ui I must lose the benefit of redis sock performance on Nextcloud.
I would like the option to configure redis to connect via sock for that reason. Perhaps it is available just not in burp-ui docks.
Is this a possibility to resolve?
This is a sentence from their page on caching
If you want to connect to Redis configured to listen on a Unix socket (which is recommended if Redis is running on the same system as Nextcloud) 'memcache.distributed' => '\OC\Memcache\Redis', 'redis' => [ 'host' => '/run/redis/redis-server.sock', 'port' => 0,
Thanks.
